mole crickets

I definitely have mole crickets. I did the soap/water method and verified their existence. I would like to know  what do I do in the meantime until June/July comes around and treat the nymph cycle as you suggested. I have Sousa Manila grass, and I live in Puerto Rico.

I would recommend de-thatching your lawn. That will help. After the lawn is de-thatched, try treating it with diluted neem oil. that may kill off the crickets in the soil already.

i am using a five gallon bucket with lemon scented dishwashing liquid.
since my lawn has a “mole cricket” problem i started applying it everywhere i see their small holes. I am doing this every late afternoon when the sun settles down. i go by sections. i am getting anywhere from 70 to over a hundred of mole crickets. big, medium and small ones. i collect them live and dump them into this glass pickle jar

isorry, i hit the submit button without finishing what i was writing.
since my yard is kind of large i am thinking i’ll be collecting hundreds of them.
once i pass this method of going by sections… my question is: is one pass enough and then proceed to appying insecticide? and keep doing this on a regular basis till june/july comes along?
