Q.Mirror Plants Look Dead

We have 6 mirror plants that have been beautiful. This year, they all look dead. There is no budding or anything green, just dead looking twigs. Are they to be discarded?

Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to see the extent of the damage. There is a simple way to check for life in the plant.

It does appear that you do live on the edge of where they can survive the winter. It is a possibility that they did not make it through the winter. This article will help explain what conditions they need for survival:
