Q.milky spores in veggie garden

Anonymous added on November 16, 2014 | Answered

I have a problem with “rolypolys” in my raised beds. There are too many of them. Can milky spore be used to eradicate them? Is this substance toxic in a veggie garden? Thanks.

Milky spore only infects Japanese beetle grubs, so it won't affect the roly-polys. Milky spore is, however, harmless to people, plants, and other bugs. This article suggests methods to get rid of roly-polys: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/sow-bug-control.htm
