It looks like you are in gardening zone 6b. Meyer lemons must be brought indoors for winter in zone 6b:

The only citrus that is grown outdoors in zone 6 is the trifoliate orange, Citrus trifoliata, which produces fruits that are made into marmalade because they are too bitter to eat fresh. However, you may be able to find a grafted citrus with an edible citrus variety grafted onto a trifoliate orange rootstock. You may be able to find online nurseries or citrus breeders that would sell these.
