Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a maple tree that is over 100 years old and about 35 feet tall plus. As I was cleaning up around and under the tree and the surrounding area, I was amazed at the seedlings popping up and I thought I would try to pot some of them and want to know what would be best soil to use?

Any quality potting soil will be fine. As for fertilization, compost is preferred, because conventional fertilizer can burn tree roots.
