Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWhen I bought my house last year, we discovered it used to have horses on the property. I have been told that horse manure is good for a vegetable garden. I also know fresh manure is bad for a garden. However, the manure on our land has been sitting for about a year. It has not been composted – but it is certainly not fresh either. Is it ok to directly till into my garden plot soil?

Yes, well-rotted manure that has been sitting awhile, like yours, is perfectly fine for use in the garden as is. For more information on using manure in the garden, this article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/composting/manures/the-benefits-of-manure-in-your-garden.htm [1]
