Q.mandarin peppers

Anonymous added on September 30, 2015 | Answered

As the colder weather sets in, I am wondering about my mandarin peppers. I still have several mandarin peppers on the plants that are still green. Do I need to keep them on the plant to ripen or can I pick them and let them ripen like a green tomato? I am worried there will not be enough time for them to ripen otherwise. Thank you.

Mandarin peppers will not ripen more off the plant. You may harvest them while they are green, they will just taste sharper than a fully mature sweeter mandarin.
