Male flowers on zucchini plant

Our zucchini plants have many male flowers on them but not one female. How can we stimulate the plant to produce some female flowers?

There is not anything you can really do to make more female flowers. I think the only reasonable piece of advice I have heard that might work is to be diligent about removing male blossoms (though they normally drop off themselves) in the early season (they can be cooked too and are considered a delicacy). This, in theory, encourages more blooming and more chances for female blooms.
