About a month or so ago I bought this gorgeous Majesty Palm. I live in Colorado and I am always trying to bring the tropics to me. I have lost many plants because we have a very dry climate. I keep the palm indoors near a sliding door so it can get lots of diffused light. One of the leaves started to turn brown so I automatically thought it was losing a leaf – natural occurrence right? So when it became ugly I cut it off. Then I read that the leaves should be allowed to fall off somewhat naturally because if they are cut off it can lead to disease. Then the new leaf began to open so I thought all is well. Now I have several leaves (almost all except the new leaf) are turning brown. I looked closely at one of the leaves and notice a fine weblike substance between the inner leaves (see attached photo). I think the palm may have some kind of disease or insect infestation. Can you help???

It does appear that the plant has suffered from too much sunlight. It needs a bright but indirect light location.
An East facing window or 5 feet from a sunny window location.
Your plant is also infected with Spider Mites.
