Magnolia Tree – Brown leaves

Hi, My newly planted Magnolia tree I believe has suffered from perhaps over-watering and then getting too much direct hot sun. Do you think it is possible for this newly planted tree to survive at this point? All leaves are brown, still attached to branches, and the branches are still flexible; not brittle.

This type of problem is common in newly transplanted trees and is referred to as transplant shock. However, with good care it sounds like your tree will probably recover. See these articles for more information:
