Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comJust bought bungalow with large magnolia Soulangiana , 18 ft high, canopy similar, growing just out of decking 1.50 mtr from house, tight against neighbours garage wall. Is this safe? I was hoping to just thin/shorten the tree but feel that re-moval might be wiser. Have you any advice available? Complete re-furbishment and decking at property are all recent.

This is a case of a miss placed tree.
You will want to bring in a tree specialist to determine the best course of action.
