Magnolia Cutting

I did what you said about the cuttings but they did not take, this was several months ago. I am not sure if l took the correct pieces as your article does not exactly explain It fully, maybe a diagram?

These can be difficult, even for a seasoned gardener, to root. For this reason, it is necessary to take many more cuttings than you intend to keep, since most of them will fail.

Rooting hormone can increase your chances of success, but these are the results that you expect to see most often with this tree. For a general number on things… If you intend to keep 1 tree, I would take at least 5 cuttings, 2 trees- 10 cuttings, and so on. This will ensure that you, at least, obtain your target.
