Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have 12 macadamia trees, however the monkeys ensure that I never get any nuts, I chase them, but they`re too sly.Anyway I have this idea to make shadecloth jackets for the trees. So I was going to wait for the nuts to get to about peanut size, and then pull my jackets over the trees, do you think it`ll be successful, or do you have any other ways of dealing with the monkeys?I live 35Km`s South of Durban, South Africa.
PS. Do you know what we call shadecloth, it is a plastic type of sacking.

I would not know how to protect against monkeys, as we do not have this issue in our country. Being as intelligent as they are I would say that just about anything you do will be outsmarted by their need for food.
I could suggest asking a local nursery about what they do when this issue arrives. Sorry I could not be of much help here.
