Looking For A Tall Shrub Or Short Tree 4-6 Ft

Question

Are there anr trees or shrubs as described above that will live well outside year round in a pot in zone 6b? I am willing to cover the pot and plant with a plant jacket and whatever necessary inside but I need all instructions so I can choose something. But, live in small house in tiny yard in town. Must survive in a planter/pot. Whatever.

Whatever plant you choose, select it from those that are hardy to zone 4. That should enable it to survive winters in zone 6 in a container. You can choose the ones from the lists below that are the right height:
