Long Necked Moth Orchid

Had the Moth Orchid for about six years, very healthy, have bloomed every year. The ‘neck’ of the plant is very long and is leaning out of the pot. There are about 11 long leaves and a lot of aerial roots coming from the top of the neck. I am wondering if I can remove the bottom of the neck (that are below the aerial roots). I have read on ‘You Tube’ that this is an option but I hestitate to try. Also they recommend using glue to seal the cut to avoid rotting. Orchid was repotted about a year and ahalf ago. Thank you!

You can split, cut, and, otherwise divide them with no problem! Just be sure to use STERILE cutting utensils and seal with a proper plant sealing glue, and not any other kind.
