Our Little Leaf Linden is dropping its leaves like crazy. Is this a sign that something is wrong?

Yes, this is a sign that something is wrong. Do the leaves turn yellow or brown before dropping off? Are there any other symptoms? It sounds like it may be either a fungus or a borer. Treat the tree with a fungicide and check near the base of the tree for holes that would indicate a borer issue.
