Lilac Leaves

The leaves on my lilac bush seem to be dying on the end, turning brown and crisp. It is watered regularly. What could be the cause of this?

The water may not be getting deep enough, particularly if you use mulch. This has been a hot summer, and where in the past the water was getting deep enough, now it could be evaporating before it is able to really get in the ground. Try watering for longer periods of time to help it reach lower in the soil where more of the roots are.
