Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy lilacs leaves have been turning a darker green with light green veins. The leaves then curl and dye. I noticed this a couple of years ago and have been keeping an eye on the plants. Read somewhere that this is a highly contagious disease and that I should cut them down rake any leaves and burn everything. Have you heard of this disease and will it effect the new growth? I also burned the ground where they where growing. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the photo of vein chlorosis did not come through. I am unable to see the damage.
Looking at the soil, though- It looks compact. heavy soils and high pH can lead to deficiencies which will show as vein chlorosis in many cases.
Burning the area has, likely, increased the pH even more. I would test the area and amend it as soon as you can.
