Lilac Bushes

Question

I dug up lilac bushes from my grandmother’s home in South Dakota, planted them at my lake place in MN. about 6 or 7 years ago, and only one has flowered. One was lilac color, the other was a white one. What do I need to do to get them to bloom? The white one has not grown very much but comes back every spring.
