lilac bushes

Can you plant the seeds on a lilac bush and get them to grow into a bush plant? Our bushes are loaded with seeds and we wanted to know if we could plant those seeds and get a plant to grow from that. If so, is there a better time to plant the seeds and how to do so?

It is possible to plant them from seed but this method will take longer to grow the shrub and years to produce flowering. A much better and easier way of propagating lilac is through cuttings. This article will help:
