Q.Lilac Bushes

Anonymous added on May 20, 2014 | Answered

I have two lilac bushes planted 25 ft apart, both in full sun, planted about 6 years ago. They were about 2 ft when planted and are now about 8 x 10. They have never had flowers. This year they have about 6 – 10 stunted flowers. I am in zone 6 and all the lilacs are in full bloom in my area. I added lime last fall and a couple of fertilizer stakes for flowering bushes. No luck. I have not pruned them except to remove broken branches, very few. Any ideas?
