Lilac Bush

It’s almost November and I live in zone 6. Is it to late to plant my lilac bush? It’s been getting down in the 30 to 40’s at night. It wintered this past year in the house, in the same pot I bought it in, and it’s still in that pot (: isn’t that awful?

I would advise waiting again. Planting it now may kill it, as it won’t have time to get established. You may have to put them in a bigger pot with some fresh soil to help them out until you can plant them in spring. Here is an article for tips on growing the shrub: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/lilac/lilac-care-growing-and-planting-lilac-bush-plants.htm [1]
