Light Orange Foam On Bulb Of Sago

Good morning! An answer to a similar question encouraged uploading a photo of the problem, which I’ve done. This photo is from your library but looks very similar to what was on our plant. I’ve sprayed the foam off the plant—what other treatment should be done? Could the problem have started from improper pruning? Thank you. That is a natural part of the female flower! The male, which is on a different plant, will look like a strange, tall cone.
