Li Jujube Shows No New Growth

I bought a li jujube from a nursery and it has been in the ground about 6 weeks and shows no sign of new growth, why?

Is it planted in the ideal site, i.e., sandy, well-drained soil in full sun? If not, you need to amend the soil. Is it getting ample water? This article has care tips that should help:
