Levelling the Lawn

Question

I have read your answer to this but had another query as to whether I need to roll the soil and sand mix to level and flatten it. Also, my grass is really uneven. Do I do what you suggest in small doses, or is it worth digging up the whole lawn and starting it again?

I would personally do this in small stages, as digging it all up and putting in a new lawn can be quite costly.
