Lemon Tree Under Verandah (for Frost Protection) Has Black, Hard To Remove Rust-like Coating On Leaves And Fruit. How Can It Be Re

moved. I tried washing it with soapy water to the extent of wiping leaves, which got some off but I don’t think the leaves like all that heavy handling,not sure if they curled from that or a very cold early spring night.

It sounds like soot or mold from previous aphid damage! Once you can get rid of any pests causing damage, the mold will resolve, on its own. This article will help:
