Lemon Tree leaves turning yellow and falling

I’m from Punjab, India. I have few lemon trees in my home garden. The leaves of one of the lemon trees have turned yellow in the last one and a half months and they have dried and have started falling and the whole lemon tree now appears as if it has already died or is dying. I have not noticed any infections of any kind on its leaves or anywhere. The same lemon trees was laden with lemons but suddenly it has turned pale and yellow. Please advise me on this. Is it cause of the overwatering, as I was watering it almost daily cause the temperatures here in my place reaches up to 46-48 degrees Celsius in the summers, so I was watering them daily. Or it lacks some nutrients and I need to use some fertilizer for it? Please advise, I’ll appreciate your help in this regard.

Leaves could be turning yellow due to temperature fluctuations, watering issues, pests, disease or nutritional deficiencies.
Closer examination of the leaves, branches and soil conditions should be done to rule out and help pinpoint the exact cause of the leaf drop.
