LEMON TREE FRUITING

My lemon tree was planted in a pot. It started giving fruits and was thereafter transferred to ground soil. About four years have passed, and there is no flowering/fruiting. Otherwise, the tree is growing very well. It’s green with no bugs/fungus. Regular organic fertilizer is given.

What are the possible causes and possible remedies?

Thanks. Jacob

I would suspect inadequate soil fertility and possible water management issues. I’m not sure what you are using as “organic fertilizer” and I don’t know what is available in Delhi. I’m in Bangkok and I find that what is described as organic fertilizer is often just compost or raw organic matter, or maybe manure. Aged manure products can be good for green growth, but they are not really complete fertilizers that supply adequate nutrients for flowering and fruiting.
Deep watering once a week is important, not just light sprinkling. Mulch the soil surface to help retain soil moisture.

Look for a complete organic citrus fertilizer or all purpose, maybe on Amazon if not available at a local garden center.

I had some plants that were stubborn in producing flowers and fruit, so I resorted to a chemical 10-29-29 high in Phosphorus and Potassium that support flowering and fruiting. Once they started producing better I went back to a slow release COF (complete organic fertilizer). I use a “Bokashi” COF that I finally found, made here locally from a Thai company using Japanese organic fertilizer technology.
