Q.Lemon tree

Anonymous added on June 2, 2015 | Answered

I have a dwarf Meyer lemon tree that is about 2 years old. It is blooming but the fruits become black and drop off when they are small. It is also dropping leaves by first turning them yellow. I regularly feed it with Citrus fertilizer and the plant looks quite healthy but no fruits so far.

Yellowing of the leaves is typically either an iron or nitrogen deficiency. Most citrus trees will shed fruit if they do not have the nutrients and/or water to support the fruit. Since you fertilize regularly, I would have the soil tested. Also, the fruit may not be developing due to a lack of phosphorus or poor pollination.
