Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a lemon tree that has growth on two main stalks. They are about ten feet tall and have large thorns with large, shiny leaves. After reading some, are these the growth of rootstock? Do I need to remove these sprouts? Thank you.

On citrus trees, I would recommend removing any suckers that grow from the rootstock. Most rootstocks for citrus trees are inferior trees and their suckers will only sap energy from the tree without ever producing fruit.
