Lemon Tree

I have just bought a lemon tree in a pot, and the label has a picture of a plate, knife and fork with a line drawn through. Does this mean it is not edible? I would appreciate a speedy reply, as it has 5 large lemons that I would like to use. Thanks for your anticipated help.

This can mean a few things. It can mean that the plant was treated with a non food approved pesticide. They have to put that on there in this case, but the thick rinds of the lemon fruit protect the juice inside and are normally ok. The other possibility is that they coated the fruit with a non food grade wax (to make them prettier for selling the tree). This too will not affect the juice inside. These are warnings that a company has to place on the plant anytime they use something on the plant that is not approved for food.
