leaves dropping on peach

This year in March or April we bought a peach tree. It developed well and had a few peaches in the summer. But now the tree is dropping its leaves (in August). They turn yellow and are falling off. Is that normal or is the tree dying?

It would be helpful to know what your climate zone is. If there is a peach orchard in your area, you might call the owner/manager and ask if the loss of leaves is normal for this time of year.
