Leaf drop in newly transplanted pepper plants

I have had a huge problem with leaf drop on my plants this year. I have green peppers and jalapenos growing. The jalapenos are doing well, but the green peppers are now on their second planting with the same results. Each time I have planted them, healthy plants (bought from a local nursery) drop all of their leaves after 2 days or so. It has happened to 8 plants this time. The leaves appear healthy, I see no sign of spotting or insect damage, just they are laying in a circle around the plant instead of on it. I do not know what to do.

It sounds as if they’re simply trying to acclimate to their new surroundings, which is normal and they should recover on their own, and regrow their leaves. However, you can treat them like they have transplant shock to help them recover better.
