Q.Lawn
We planted eco grass last spring and top seeded in the fall, and the lawn just looks terrible. It has lots of weeds, bare patches, and is ugly and not green. We live on Vancouver Island in a warmish area. We are thinking of top dressing the lawn and planting normal seed, or should we be doing something else?

Kentucky Bluegrass is the grass most often grown because it is very hardy and can take sun and shade. But, this article has some other grasses you can consider: http://www.agriculture.purdue.edu/fnr/wildlife/landowners/habitats/coolseason.html
