Lawn sand in flower bed

Hello, after recently moving house I dug out an old flower bed and refilled it with a thick layer of sand I found in the shed and multi purpose compost. I then planted up with primroses etc.
We have moss in our lawn so I started researching how to treat this – to my horror I came across a description of lawn sand and realised I had mistakenly used this in my flower bed instead of sharp sand. I have used a whole bag meant for 200m square in a bed that is 1×1 M . My plants look very unhappy with this iron sulphate on their roots.
Does all this need to be dug our? Or will the chemicals wash out in the rain over time?

This is unfortunate. You will need to completely replace this. It will wash out over time, but not before it obliterates all of the plants in the area.
