Lawn Grubs

Question

For almost 2 months now a few crows have been pulling up 3″ chunks of lawn to get down to grub worms and tiny beetles. Have been flying out of shrubs during watering for perhaps a month now. When would be the best time to treat the critters? I know that soon they will be flying all over the lawn as well, which was the case last year. Thanks for your assistance.
