Q.Lawn Company Spot Sprayed Weed Killer In My Lawn, Is It Ok To Eat From My Garden?
We had a lawn company come out and spot spray weeds that were in our lawn, which at closest range could be 2.5 feet from our raised bed garden. The weed killer they use is Powerzone. I regret having them do that and now worry if it is safe to eat the vegetables from our garden. All our plants are pretty much thriving, I can’t see any damage. Just wondering what the chances are that this got into our garden and how bad is it for us to eat from our garden. It also rained that day they sprayed probably a few hours later. And I’m assuming the plants we planted weeks later should be safe to eat?

If you didn't see evidence of drift, i.e., damage to your desirable plants, then your vegetables should be fine to consume. The product label says damage is evident within hours, and death of the plant occurs in one to two weeks. Also, the applicator should not spray on windy days, especially not above 10 mph winds. Here is an article about what herbicide damage looks like and also the product label for Powerzone. The plants you planted two weeks later should be fine, too.
