Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.commy lavender trumpet vines are turning yellow or a splotchy maroon/brown color and I’d like to know whats wrong and how to fix it. I live in North Hollywood, CA 91606 and we have been getting alot of rain. The soil seems to drain well. I haven’t been able to upload a photo.

Check the plant carefully for pests such as aphids, scale bugs, whitefly, and mites:

Leaf spot diseases can also affect trumpet vine. If you are seeing distinct spots on the leaves, that’s likely what it is:

If what you see looks more like the whole leaves are turning yellow or maroon, or they are turning colors between veins in a consistent pattern, it oculd be a nutrient deficiency as shown in this chart:
