Q.Late Plantings

Anonymous added on July 18, 2011 | Answered

I have a ‘hole’ in my garden. I thought I had put potatoes in, but there is nothing coming up. What can I put in there now and hope to get something, or should I content myself with shoveling compost and preparing the bed?

There is plenty you can put there. Commonly carrots, radishes and beets are planted for quick turnover. In about a month, you can plant lettuce, peas and cole crops as they like cooler weather like you would see in the fall.
