Q.large indoor yucca plant
I have a yucca plant that is over 9′ and is not doing too well anymore (top stalks and leaves are brown).
I would like to put this plant outside (have had it for 20 years. I live in Memphis, TN where it occasionally gets below freezing. Is the plant safe?

You can prune the plant back if it is getting too large or unsightly. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/yucca-plants-care-and-pruning-tips-for-pruning-a-yucca.htm
As for replanting outdoors, this is fine too (IF you live in a zone where it can survive year round). Tropical yuccas, if that's the type you have, can only stay outside for the warmer months in the year. If you would like to keep it outside for part of the year, this article will help you with moving it: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/hpgen/move-houseplant-outside.htm
