What is your USDA zone? Sometimes, if you are on the edge of where they can survive, a cool winter can kill them off. This has been a primary focus for me this year, as it has been a cool winter. Many have lost plants, as they were right on the edge of where they can survive.
Unfortunately, this happens from time to time, and the only option will be to replant.
