Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in zone 8b and have several lantanas that die back every winter. My friend who lives 2 roads over also has several in her yard which never die back. What would be the cause of this? Is there anything I can do to keep them from dying back?

Lantana is hardy in zones 9 and 10 so you are just on the edge of hardiness. For someone two roads over to not lose her lantana in winter I would suspect is because of the lantana variety or cultivar that she grows. Some are hardier than others. Inquire at the nursery which ones would likely continue blooming during the winter.
