Lantana roots

We recently completed a French drain around the house, and we removed a lantana plant. However we would like to place it again on the same spot which is exactly over the French drain, but we don’t want the roots to grow and go into the drain. The French drain is covered with about six inches of soil. My question is how dip do the lantana roots grow, and if they can grow long enough to interfere with the drain. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Lantana has a shallow root system that develops a solid mat of roots that are several inches thick. It should be no issue with your drains.
