Lantana plants

We seem to have a lot a little flies on our tree. Is that common?

If they are very tiny, they are probably whiteflies, a common pest of verbena. They may cause no damage, but if the plant starts to look sick or the infestation is heavy, you could look into the control methods described in this article:
