Q.Lack of Pole bean production

Plant April 10 in northwest MS. 80% sunlight, high organic matter, ph 7.8 sidedressed with 8-24-24. Vines are covering 6 ft trellis. No insects present. Some bloom with very pod set.

Wow that pH is excessively high! This needs to be more like 6.5 to 7. The cause will be the high Phosphorus and Potassium side dressing, and will need to be offset with something acidic. This can be a myriad of things, including citric acid, sulfur, iron, or even iron sulfate. Just don't add anything with nitrogen to adjust the pH.
