Q.kiwi ratio of male to female

Zone zone9 roseville , CA 95747 | hellodonna added on June 17, 2017 | Answered

I have one male kiwi plant and one female kiwi plant. they are maybe four years old and doing very well. My question is this ratio bit. Am I actually supposed to have eight female plants to one male plant to get fruit? the info is confusing. It always says 8 to 1, but what does that really mean?
thank you!
Donna

You do need at least one male plant for every 8 female plants. If you have a male and a female, this is should be sufficient.

It can take 5 to 9 years for a Kiwi Vine to produce fruit.
