Q.Kiwi Plants

Zone Savannah, Ga | solida added on May 14, 2019 | Answered

About 8 years ago I bough 2 male and 2 female kiwi plats. I do not remember the variety. After about 6 years we got a new puppy who ate 3 of them. I believe we have just the female left. It has small fruits but quickly drops. Last year I bought a male and female red variety. I know the older female is not a red but will the male from the red variety be able to pollinate the older green variety?

Typically, yes. Many kiwi are used to pollinate, usually to fruit the red variety, but the reverse will be true as well.

You should be able to obtain fruit from this combination.
