Just learned kiwi has male/female and need to cross pollinate, I bought a kiwi plant many years ago and just noticed there are fruit on the vines this year. But I only had one plant, assuming this is female, will the fruit be edible?

It's possible that another Kiwi is planted nearby.
The other possibility is that you have one of the only self fruiting hardy Kiwi varieties, Issai.

Your fruit is absolutely edible!
