Killing creeping vines

I have a very aggressive vine that is taking over my perennial bed…I cannot figure out how to upload my picture to you…

This looks like Houttuynia (chameleon plant) which has a reputation for being aggressive. It is a long-term effort to eradicate it. Basic options are hand removal and herbicide. It is somewhat herbicide resistant so more than one “dose” may be needed. Glyphosate is the least toxic herbicide for the environment. More info here: https://ask.extension.org/questions/183060 [1]
