Kaffir lime tree in the living room

Question

I own a kaffir lime tree for three years now. It is about 6 months per year inside the appartment. Everything was going well. Six months ago I moved to another place. Since then many leaves produce huge resin drops and the tree is dropping a lot of sticky tasteless resin. But the tree looks great and healthy. The average temperature is a bit higher due to more direct sunlight. What could be the reason for this behavior? How can I prevent this dropping to the floor? Thanks for ideas.

You have either tow things going on here.
On the appearance of the leaf it looks like water, which some plant leaves can drip water-it’s called transpiration or guttation.

If this substance is sticky, it could be Honeydew, which is the secretion of pests.

Thank you very much. In the meantime by using a magnifying glass I found a lot of scale insects (coccoidea). We washed the leaves and we will check them from now on.
